Where was it mentioned that he was very educated? There are many sick people in Thailand, for sure. Every day we read about something like this, it freaks me out, I'll be in Thailand for the first time in my life over a couple of months. What I'm also learning here is that it's better to stay away from bar girls or you just have to be that strong to enjoy and move on, never repeat with the same lady. RIP to the guy. He had some issues apparently, weather girl trouble or business-related. He was an importer of Russian vodka and had dealings with Alcatel to launch sales of a few phone models in Thailand. Please give Arthur, his family, and friends some respect by not developing conspiracy theories and other rubbish relating to him and those involved. R.I.P. Arthur. Pulleeeeaze. The guy was a scammer and a con artist. Amazing he wasn't blacklisted a few years ago when he was caught with his first publicly known con the driver license thing. He was hooked on Thailand and was going to do anything he could to stay there. What business of his were you a partner of? I could nominally expect the guy might be mad and shoot the girl for pestering him. But so many stories of the farang jumping out of a 36 floor balcony or shooting or hanging himself. I just think it is statistically unlike anything experienced in other countries. But I have no data to support that. Thailand is a magnet for all sorts of "business men", miserable lowlifes and sad little mommy's boys who can't get laid any where else. I'm not surprised at all that they drop like fly's .Blaming Thais for westerners lack of character is just sad. Sounds like you are into Mommys ! You know what they say,it takes one to find one. He made an internationa comparative (quantitative) analysis of suicide rates, by religion and country. Let alone the special case of Japan his conclusion was that it is the rather atheistic Puritanistic societies that have the highest suicide rate. According to German sociologist Max Weber, this "Protestantic ethic" is a perequesite for running "rational" bureaucracies. And according to Karl Marx, religions are the common prerequisite to keep people looking away from economic (self-destroying) "rationality" For me, the implications of big money is clear: The system is self-destroying, and suicide is the only way out for those who run it. Every man has a limit of how much he can swallow, and I've had mine. I for one, have left for a far better place and happy I did. The filthy beaches, littered sois, corrupt officials, congested and deadly roadways, are only getting worse… much worse. For those of you decent folk still there, stop lying to yourself and wake up. Aren't you tired of this shit by now? My exit came last year when a couple of dead bodies washed up on my beach, shortly after, my neighbor was hacked near his home with an axe. When you’re done with the bargirls and over the haze of the bar, try venturing outside the country. There are plenty of fantastic places to call home. The victim here was arrested in 2012 for selling fake Thai driving licences to other farangs. Surprising that he wasn't in prison. It's time Thailand introduced home country police record as a requirement for non-tourist visas. That would make a dent in the foreigner low life population, although it would also dent the income of local police who team up with foreign criminals only too readily like birds of a feather. Such as his luxury home, other assets or money? Or in other words, would she have a motive for killing him or arranging someone else to murder the guy? Data for Germans should be available at Deutscher Hilfverein in Bangkok or Pattaya. They are quite puritanistic there, but if you know how to get raw data anonymized by using SAS or SPSS, and find a Thai to do this, they might be interested. I'm not 100pct sure about Thai privacy laws, but if you come up with a good reason they might be ready to help. Thailand seems to attract more retards and deadsheets than other countries. Just take a look around at the quality of farang both tourist and expat.Is it really any wonder why so many really meet an untimely end ?
