Monthly Rental Apartment Recommendations

Recommended Posts

Posted

I want to hang out in Chiang Mai for a month - and I'd like recommendations about apartments that will do a monthly rent. No long contract.

My budget is 10,000B, or 15,000ish B if I really like the place.

I don't want to be too far out of the city - old city, nimmanhaemin, near university, or anywhere not too far out.

I'm looking for somewhere very quiet. Good Internet. And I'd like a gym, or very near a running track or gym.

Its tough to get into any apartments for under 3 months. You may want to consider a guesthouse, but probably best off checking www.airbnb.com

AirBnB and also https://www.flipkey.com/

An alternative is serviced apartments, both Loft Residence and Le Chalet Suite are below 10,000 THB/month, and The Bliss is 12,000 THB for a “room only” studio. Pansook Condominium on Huay Kaew Rd. also has a kind of serviced apartment thing going on with rates around 14-15,000 THB/month for the smaller units.

Most other places I am aware of are closer to 20-30,000 THB for a single month.

Man, i'm paying 4000 baht rent plus 500 baht utils per month near Nankornping Condo. Great place for me but i chose well. Face north onto a green field. Only the big jets bother me.

Smith Residence just south of the Chiang Mai Gate, mid range room around 10,000 with electricity + water. Has gym + pool and meets your criteria on being quiet (well Saturday Walking Street aside) and it's walking distance to many places in the old city/ Thaepae, Loi Kroh etc...

Thanks for the leads. From what I've seen so far, I'm surprised that Bangkok is better value, and easier to find monthly Serviced Apartments than Chiang Mai. (Right now, I'm renting 10,000B, in Sathorn, 46 sqm studio - building has gym and swimming pool). Though admittedly, the decor is a bit old.

You can not compare Bangkok a large city to Chiang Mai

There are places around just have to look

Like we all did

Internet research as well as asking here

There're loads of serviced apartments in CM catering mainly to students that are cheap, below B5K per mth. But TV members (incl myself) mostly haven't ventured there to check them out smile.png

But you can check these out:

C One Seviced Apartment

Grand Living Residence

The Mirror

Baan Thai

Empire

CM Prestige
