Turning off AIS 's. sms messages.

Featured Replies

I get several TXT messages daily advertising stuff and even got an autocall in Thai. Is there an easy way to opt out of this?

Call Ais Hotline 1175, choose english and listen to the options. One of them is to stop advertising messages.

It may take about a week till no more unwanted messages reach you.

Will that turn off all messages from anywhere or just those from AIS?

It turns off all messages. Also third parties messages.

In my experience, it does not turn off AIS's own promotional messages and notifications but 3rd party SMS's and merchandise promotions did go away.

It turns off also AIS's own promotional messages. The only messages i still get, and which is ok, are warnings when my balance is running low.Last but not least, you can decide at the eservice from AIS which ads you want to delete. http://www.ais.co.th/eservice.html

Thanks for the advice as I have been bugged with this problem as well. Visiting AIS shops wasn't helpful in sorting it. A couple of points: 1. The e-service is pretty useless and really doesn't help. 2. Calling 1175 and selecting the switch off service works well, but you need to talk to one of their operators/advisors as well. I was fortunate that the one I had spoke excellent fluent English and it all happened.

I did it through their e-service website.

No more SMS or calls.
