February 27, 201511 yr Mister Fixit post # 1 About time Bangkok taxis were checked for valid insurance, licences and other paperwork ... Maybe they'll start taking passengers soon as well . Other paperwork ... Normally of red colour and at least two copies of that particular piece of paper needs to be produced to ensure that the taxi driver can resume his toil. Passengers paperwork tends not to be needed, however some zealous police cont stables do have a tendency to ask for a single sheet usually purple in colour that piece of paperwork then ensures that all is well for the passengers, thus they like the taxi driver can be sent safely on their way to their destination. Indeed it is a comfort to ones sleeping well abed at night knowing we are all secure from becoming the victims of some horrendous criminal act.
February 28, 201511 yr I've seen 1 soldier checking a taxi at the same spot at chatuchak bts. (This was some weeks ago). There were 20 other taxidrivers all standing around this 1 soldier and making problems. He must have had a hard time there. They change the situation all the time there, now the taxi's are standing on the middle of the road.
