Elderly German Woman “jumps” off Jomtien Condominium

PATTAYA: -- On Friday Morning Police and rescue workers were called to a 5-storey Condominium in Jomtien where a 75 year old German woman was reported to have jumped to her death.

The incident occurred at the Majestic Jomtien Condominium just before 9am. Officers arrived and inspected the body of Mrs. Frieder Hornsteiner aged 75. Close-by was her Husband Mr. Dulof Hornsteiner who is now living with his Thai Wife, Khun Yupa. Despite this the three live together and Khun Yupa told Police that she cared for the victim who had severe mobility issues and other medical problems.

Maybe a bit confusing, a husband with two wives.

I would simply accept the Thai lady as a caretaker to the Geman woman.

Maybe the old man wasn't fully aware that this might be considered as bigamy, but it's over now.

RIP for the German woman.

She might have felt she's in the way.

She had a walking stick so obviously she could get around somewhat.

Look, when someone is desperate for whatever reason they can muster up one last burst of strength and collapsing over a mini balcony wouldn't be too difficult.

Poor lady, guess she had enough and another reason why people over 70 tired of living should be able to go somewhere to check out humanely.

Makes this story rather suspicious... What is this thing in Thailand with so many people jumping of balconies? The railing standards are set lower? Or it is a trendy way to make the headlines?
