English Speaking Monk

Featured Replies

Does anyone know an English speaking Monk in Chiang Mai that could provide me with spiritual advice? I am not looking for the Monk Chat type of thing but something more in depth. I need a Monk who would be willing to spend some time with me and speak with me about my personal life from a Buddhist perspective. I'm not sure how much time would be needed but I'm guessing a couple of hours. Maybe more. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There is an Israeli Monk that has lived here for 20+ years and speaks English well. However, I don't know how to get hold of him. He just stops by from time to time. Maybe someone else knows how to contact him.

The temple next to the old Chedi hotel at the river cruse jetty, has a monk who speaks very good English.

My gf says there is an Israeli Monk who lived in London and is based at the Wat near Mae Jo Golf Club- Wat Nong Ubosot, but not sure if it is the same guy.

Whatever, he speaks very good english.

I have spoken in English to some monks at Suan Dok temple on Suthep Road before...

They sat down with me for a while explaining what they do...

One was from Burma and the other one was from Cambodia...

Go to the temple and ask to speak to a monk who knows english...

I think you will find what you are looking for there...

good luck...
