Well, they are certainly within their rights to lodge a complaint. What's more important and REAL news is what is done with the complaint.

The event in question was a Valentine's day party last month which was advertised in advance via a banner hung outside the venue and also via the restaurant's Facebook page.
On the aforementioned banner was written "Valentine's Day nurses party with lots of models and 'pretties' in nurses uniforms"
After a complaint was made on 12th February the banner and Facebook pages were removed and the party cancelled but it seems senior figures at the nurses council still want the police to prosecute for insulting and bringing the image of nurses into disrepute by displaying scantily clad nurses in this manner.
Police Lieutenant General Prawutthi Thaworasiri from Thai National Police Headquarters said that even though the Minburi police had investigated the matter, the party had been cancelled and advertisements had been removed, he was considering prosecuting under Thai computer crime laws.

Thank you for the wonderful memories.
The hottest partys we had were in the training center of the nurses.
Right next door was the nurses Dormitory.
It was called the plums bunker.biggrin.png

BANGKOK — The owners of a Bangkok nightclub have been summoned by police for publishing an advertisement featuring waitresses in "sexy nurse" costumes that drew complaints from actual nurses.

Representatives of Thai Nurse Association filed a complaint with police today, accusing the nightclub of insulting the profession by depicting nurses as persons who are involved in "pleasure service." The advertisement reportedly appeared on Facebook and on a billboard on Soi Ramkhamhaeng 174, said Jintana Yoonipan, director of the nurse association.

"The text and advertisement gravely insult and demean those in the careers of nurses," said Jintana. “It damaged the image of nurse profession."

I am speechless.

Next thing will be witches and ghosts complaining about the sexy costumes at Halloween Parties.

Studunts complaining about Soi Cowboy.

Not to mention police women complaining about S&M clubs.

All completely harmless.

This country is all about face.

Just imagine how dangerous these people could be if they could really distinguish the difference between reality and fantasy.

Does Thailand own the rights to nursing uniforms? I am glad they scrapped the uniforms in Australia, the male nurses made me ill just seeing them.
