It would help if you said which country you are in; but basically; if legally resident in that country then yes.

You may find Schengen Visa FAQ helpful.

It is aimed at people applying in Thailand, but the rules are the same no matter where you apply.

Edit;

I see that your status has changed since you last asked about Schengen visas in Thailand.

On that occasion you said that you were a tourist in Thailand and were told, both by the Danish embassy and knowledgeable posters here, that as such you could not apply in Thailand unless you had an urgent need to travel.

Now that you are a student then, assuming you have a proper student visa, you are classed for this purpose as a Thai resident and so can apply in Thailand.

Indeed 7by7, if Sdaze is legally residing in Thailand as a student (or any other non-tourist status), applying with the Danish embassy is certainly possible. The sticky gives further hints and points. As Always, double check by reading more detailed or country specific instructions at the website of the embassy concerned.

The Thai student visa could be one piece of evidence of reason to return to Thai studies here but you may wish to include some additional evidence that shows you have some spare time in between your study program to visit DK and come back to TH to continue your studies.

Thank you! This one is for a friend wants some answers.

Actually she is having a hard time to process here so her only choice is to like get a student visa instead but she really is not studying but will be under the agency who will give her a student visa. So im guessing giving proof that shes allowed to travel for over a month of short visit to denmark will not be possible if shes holding a student visa. Since shes really not studying in the first place and the visit to dk os up to 40 days.

If I understand your above post correctly, your friend is attempting to obtain a Thai student visa via some dubious agency even though she is not actually a student!

Perhaps she would be better off if she did things legally!

Certainly, if she obtains, or attempts to obtain, a Thai visa of any sort by deception and is discovered, the likelihood of her obtaining any sort of visa for anywhere else in the near, or even middle, future is practically zero.

I see its pretty hard for her. I conclude it cant help in any way. At first it looked right but as mentioned here that she needs proof from school and stuff then i doubt it.
