Is it possible to buy a Jaguar 420G (automatic) with the original engine and in pristine condition, as importing classic cars seems to be virtually impossible here? In the UK a pristine 420g would cost between £13-20k,I did see mention of one about six years ago which was a manual, I have never seen one on the streets here. Do classic cars tend to last longer here due to the lack of salt on the roads or does the heat have an equally adverse effect?

Thanks for those links, I wonder if the coming of ASEAN will make importing classic cars easier? As there seems to be a lot of ridiculous prices here well at least the 70's Rolls Cornice at 5.4 million Baht for that price you could get a Bentley Cornice Drop head late 90's with only 7k on the clock.
