BKK Marriage - Foreigners Need A Friendly Amphur

Featured Replies

So a guy walks into a bar...

No seriously. Help Needed. Please.

Can anyone suggest a foreigner friendly Amphur (near CW) where two foreigners can get married?

I understand (I think) the process of securing and translating all the necessary documents from our respective embassies and having them legalized in CW.before and after the marriage is done at an Amphur.

What I'm hoping to find is an easily accessible place near CW (I've never been to CW so forgive me) where we can get married. Does anyone have a suggestion for an Amphur Office that is close to CW that can do the marriage?

Thanks in advance.

Would the marriage forum have been a better location?

Sorry Joe.

Tried to get married at bang rak last Friday was turned away. After ringing many other districts and being refused because we had no witnesses, I recalled a post about Lak si so headed off to there and was successfully married at 1.30 after paying two locals 500 bht each. But even when there I saw other couples turned away I guess because they couldn't complete the paperwork in Thai.

We went to Bang Rak and brought 2 witnesses with us about a year and a half ago without problem. The man who signed the paperwork to make our marriage official even took photos with us.
