Now I know why I couldn't download from a free torrent site.

Featured Replies

I haven't been able to download movies from my favourite free site, I would click on the "download torrent" button and nothing would happen. I was trying to remember what new programs I'd added, then it occurred to me, Adblock Plus. I uninstalled it and I'm back to normal again. albeit with all the ads. Not sure if you can allow the sites you want on Adblock or not, but a few ads is a small price to pay for the free downloads.

Put adblock on your tool bar use the adblock option. Then selectively unblock site by site as you visit them and continue to block others.

OK, thanks for the tip.

Well, it worked OK for a few hours, but now I'm getting the same message as before "the address wasn't understood". I still have Adblock uninstalled so it can't be that. Funny that I could access the downloads for a few hours after I disabled it though.

Install it again and then use the Uninstaller pro, or Revo uninstaller and you'll remove any traces of unwanted programs.

Adblock sucks. I was using it for years until I discovered it was the cause of crashes when I would routinely have many tabs opened.

uBlock fixed all that.

Just an update for anybody else who's having this problem. If you add an apps from the Chrome store in Google Chrome called magnet2torrent, it solves the problem. I believe Firefox has something similar as well. I can now download from PB as before with no problems.
