Oohing and aahing at military conscriptions

Many beauties are now showing up at military units to respond to the call for conscription, according to photos that become a big buzz on social media.

With long hair and lovely faces, they have turned heads among the crowds of men. Many of them were so beautiful people who shared their pictures on the social media doubted if the content had been photoshopped or blatantly fake. The pictures, however, showed up in the mainstream media.

The beauties are officially male and thus by laws they have the duty to undergo the conscription process. This year, armed forces arrange physical examinations of young men across the country between April 1 and 10 to select new recruits.

“I have not yet undergone sex-change operation,” Tinnakorn Jiewprom told Thairath as he popped up at a conscription unit in Sukhothai province on Thursday. The 21-year-old cross-dresser is so pretty that many young men in the queue rushed out to take pictures with him.

“But I am very feminine. I think I am a girl since my childhood days,” Tinnakorn said.

On Friday, two good-looking transvestites reported themselves to a conscription unit in Uttaradit’s Tron district. They were quickly removed from the list of possible conscript given that their current physical conditions do not match their sex at birth.

“We only need 61 conscripts from this area,” the province’s registrar Colonel Pichitchai Hattapranit says.

Meanwhile, Sanook! News reports that officials rushed to the house of one Krittapit Chaiphan to re-check him after words spread that he might deliberately wear a dress to a conscription unit in Chiang Rai only to fool officials. Krittapit has insisted that he is feminine in nature but sometimes wears men’s clothes for work and for family.

what is the reason for so many men changing sex, In Thailand? Is it genetic? And how does compare with the rest of Asean?

It is really very simple.

When Thai boys reach puberty, they check their bodies, and all those not finding a d**k...........coffee1.gif

And for when he's on the pull.

If you have the itch only leaving home in a burqa soon that's the way to go.

...unless you are ugly enough to be allowed to wear a bikini.

There was a study done that concluded that a large percentage of ladyboys were only doing so in order to be paid.........that they had wives and or girlfriends....keeping in mind, in this society it is permissable for a man to dress as a women in order to hide from ghosts.....

Today was the 'lottery' for conscription into the Thai Forces for our local thambon/amphur. +Great excitement especially with the young girls barracking or booing the poor unfortunate young men who are forced to endure this awful process. As their names are called out they are required to go up to the podium and choose a red or black ball rotating in a 'lottery' drum. As they do so the 'audience' of young girls scream 'sii dam' or ' 'sii daeng' (red or black) apparently wanting or otherwise their young males to be conscripted. It may sound like fun but how would you feel if a screaming audience wanted to get rid of you for a couple of years.

My son went there today. He was in actual fact looking forward to being conscripted, he was prepared to forgo the 'lottery' and voluntarily sign up. There is quite a strict medical you have to undergo and he failed because he had a slight squint in his left eye. He'll get over it.

A research reported in the newspaper not allowed to be mentioned on TV many years ago concluded that the demand and expectations from family, friends and colleges laid on the shoulders to many young Thai men was the reason that many men found it more bearable to be a women.

Outside of the Western/Christianised World transgenderisation is far more common and "on view" because historically/culturally it is more accepted.

Historically Western/Christianised societies have been much more savage and cruel in their attitude to trannies so people hide it, and themselves, away.

There's plenty of them back home (you probably know one, but don't realise it) but, even now, in some places it's still very dangerous to go against all that Judeo-Christian prejudice.

One of todays star persecutors is a certain Mr Putin.

The OP isn't an April's Fool joke.

Each year in the Thai press during the yearly army conscription, stories like this appear with photos of the kathoey queuing up for the army medical along with the other male recruits.

They always fail the medical for obvious reasons eg 'abnormal chest' etc so don't get conscripted.

Yes, it's a cop out for those who shirk their responsibilities as men.
