Had the family out in bicycles looking for it....even at a close to 360 view couldn't see anything - one star - one airplane and a few bats...

Just came in from watching here in Chiang Rai. It was quite clear after it got over the mountains to the east. I agree it wasn't exciting but still it was nice to visit with the neighbors and try to explain why it happens. They really didn't seem to know.

Quite spectacular here in the clear sky of Kanchanaburi. Wifey and her friends were told it was dangerous to look at but still came out to have a look when I told them it was very lucky and they could be due a lotto win.

Was much more fun in the old days when we could bang pots and make noise to scare the dragon eating the moon away.

Saw the eclipse in a Lisu village Chiang Rai

They were all banging on pots and biscuit tins making a right racket for about an hour

Worked though as we wre back to the full moon

Very visible here in Kaeng Krachan. Used my 10X B&L binocs to enhance the viewing. Fun to watch for awhile but after 1/2 hour it was time to go back inside.

Oh it was a lunar eclipse that we stared at the heavens for half an hour here in BKK. I was told to look into the sky but none of my Thai companions could explain what for . Did not see anything except for a few bright lights in the sky that did not seem to move . Maybe planes caught in the tractory beams of the Martian warships circulating earth i thought!.

Another Saturday night i shall treasure for the rest of my days. We should have banged a few pots and pans to scare the dragon away that was eating the moon. Never heard of that story before but i like it. Makes more sense than most of the shit i hear now-days.

Not exactly the picture hoped for due to the weather but pretty impressive none thr less.

Set up well inadvance not on their mobile of course.

Can't say i saw the eclipse but did see the low moon, blood red, full and massive. Very impressive and if i had been an ignorant savage would have surely danced and partied the night away in awe and piety.
