Can you help with this DTAC message?

Featured Replies

I just got an SMS message on my Thai mobile from 'dtac Trinet':

"DTAC Internet + MMS settings are being sent to your phone. Please enter code 1800 to save the settings."

I have no idea what this is about but DTAC (prepay) is my service provider so I guess the message is real.

However I have no idea how to "enter code 1800 to save the settings".

Enter code 1800 where? How?

Do they mean reply '1800' to this message? In other words, send them a text message reply that simply says '1800'?

Thanks.

I am still not quite certain tongue.png

But I assume, you will (or have) shortly receive an SMS which contains some settings for "Trinet" (seems you have been switched over).

After receiving the SMS you will be asked to enter some "code" to accept the settings.

code=1800.

If you did not receive the SMS you get another one with

*772#

as described.

Thank you. Shortly after the first message I received a second from dtac Trinet, similar to what you describe. But unfortunately it's all in Thai.

Guess I'll take my phone along to the ladies at the DTAC counter and see if they can help.

Thanks again.

Better do so.

Its not really vital as long as you just want to do phone calls.

The setup is needed if you want to connect to the internet via the phone.

MMS: thing of the past.
