Well after a lot paperwork shuffling, I finally have a date for the verbal

interview for my wife's visa at the US embassy in Bangkok. She is a

bit nervous about what questions she will be asked. Nothing to hide,

she is just a bit intimidated by the process. I did a fair amount of google

searching but was not able to pull up much specific to Bangkok. Does

somebody know of a site where perhaps a lot of the the questions are listed ?

Thanks in advance....

There is no set list of questions...

Is this a tourist visa or immigrant visa ?

It is really up to the interviewer... And in some cases, think they may already have a good idea if the applicant will get the visa before the interview (at least for tourist)

Last Sep, my wife applied for Tourist visa (her 2nd, first was when we first got married)

This time, the officer just asked... So married for almost 10 years now? Wife nodded, and she said, your approved... Passport will be delivered..

Didn't look at any documents we had prepared ...

But I am sure they looked at my passport history submitted online and saw I had been living here for over 11 years with only a couple weeks back in the US...

Guessing that's the easiest it could be...

For others, have heard that ask questions about employment and may request a letter from Employer or bank book to prove she can afford the trip... Or anything else that would prove she plans to come back to Thailand

If you are living in US and she is trying to get tourist visa, have heard this is the hardest case to get... Especially if new marriage ... As officer may presume you are trying to get around the im-visa process

So may need more info to prove ties to Thailand and that she will return.

If immigrant visa ... Not sure, as haven't been through that process

Although a good website to check out be visa journey.com

Thanks. It is an immigrant visa. We are married, and have a four year

old daughter who is an American citizen through me. So am pretty

sure it will be a slam dunk. I suspect if you met a gogo girl last month

and tried to get her a visa, they would ask a LOT of questions....

I have been to that visa journey site before, it is more about visa

applications from around the world. I was hoping for question

information a bit more specific to Bangkok. Have lived here 14

years, and decided to move back to the states. Principally for

the education of my daughter, and somewhat due to

other events occurring in Thailand.....

Thanks Mac. Guess my Google search skills are better than

my site specific skills. Questions posted on that thread seemed

pretty easy. They were mostly K1 visas, so I think the embassy

was checking the depth of the relationship. Since we are already

married and have a child, pretty sure it will be brief....
