Police probe murder of three villagers

PATTANI: -- Forensic police yesterday inspected the scene where three male villagers in their 30s were shot dead and another 24-year-old man was wounded at an abandoned hut in Pattani's Khok Pho district on Friday night.

Police initially suspected that the killings might have stemmed from drug trafficking or the ongoing unrest in the deep South.

Lieutenant Preecha Prachumchai from Khok Pho Police Station led the forensic officers to inspect the scene where unknown armed men, wearing hoods and black clothing, opened fire on the villagers while they were reportedly drinking Krathom tea at the house in Tambon Na Pradu.

Two villagers fled the scene.

Armed men wearing hoods...dressed in all black...sounds like the Malay version of the KKK...who wore all white with hoods...very effective in remaining anonymous while terrorizing the local population...
