Why do Thais have a total lack of common sense?

Featured Replies

This is not meant as a Thai-bashing thread. It's a serious question. How can a situation arise that an entire people can lack any common sense. It doesn't have anything to do with the poor education system, as nothing you learn in school would, for example, teach you that if you drive the wrong way down a dark street at night with no lights you are putting your life and that of others in danger. Only a small child would still need to understand that. For an adult it should be common sense. Of course, there are countless other examples.

Any suggestions?

Not true. I've met many Thais that have common sense.

I can count them on my fingers and toes.

So Barry, if I see one farang doing something stupid, does that mean that all farangs lack common sense?

Sorry, can see where this is heading & against forum rules.
