I just got on the BTS at Victory Monument to head down Sukhumvit way then next thing I heard was "next station Sala Daeng"!! I thought it was an error but no, here I am at Silom.

What is this sorcery???

Left the party at 3:00 AM. Woke up in my bed this morning. But I don't remember driving home.

Happens to all of us....

No, you weren't drunk (maybe). It's happened to me too a couple of times when I caught the BTS at VM to get to Asok when, bang, next thing I know I am scrambling to get back on the Suk line from Sala Daeng. There's got to be a schedule for these butterfly (not faithful to any one line) trains but couldn't find it.

Happen to me once but I was paying attention and listened to the announcements and was able to change trains at the Siam station to get to Asoke. It was around 11 am . Was coming from VM. It did catch me by surprise.

Ah, that's interesting, because I was sure it happened to me once as well and trying to work it out drove me vaguely insane (did I switch trains and not remember..?). If it's an actual thing that sometimes happens then it puts my mind at ease a little. :)

In the evenings a few times about 9:30 r so on a Friday night, on my way to Saphan Kwai, i got on the silom line and the announcement said the train would be going to mor chit, sorry for the inconvenience. Was fine for me got there earlier.since i didn't have to change trains. I assume bc the train was going out of service for the night and would park next to mor chit. Maybe the trains you were on were just being out into service.

Different lines, how did this happen?

It happens occasionally, there is a crossover at Siam where trains can be diverted from one line to the other in both directions but when I have experienced it there has always been several warning announcements.
