PATTAYA: -- An unlicensed lottery ticket vendor was arrested by Banglamung District Officers, in front of a South Pattaya Gold Shop in the early hours of Wednesday.

The operation was led by the District Chief Bailiff, who arrested Khun Lert aged 53. He was in possession of lottery tickets which are worth 60 Baht each and the first prize for the Lottery Winner is Gold worth an estimated 20,000 Baht. Other cash prizes are also available.

The “Gold” Lottery is organized by Gold Shops to promote their business and raise extra cash but contravenes the Gambling Act of 1935 which prohibits unlicensed Lotteries.

So: "The “Gold” Lottery is organized by Gold Shops to promote their business and raise extra cash but contravenes the Gambling Act of 1935 which prohibits unlicensed Lotteries", and "Khun Lert claims he has been selling the tickets for 1 year and blamed a Gold Shop Owner for providing him with the tickets which he takes no responsibility for."

No mention, of course, of the arrest of the gold shop owner.

Of course not, the shop owner wasn't selling illegal lottery tickets.

But have they arrested any of the official Lottery Ticket sellers for overcharging???
