Roof leak; tiles to replace;ridge to rebed; steelwork or insulation problem; bungalow; six floors up?

I know a roof is a roof to most people but to me its a creatve architectural hat to a building that deserves the utmost respect.

OK panic over, have got roof fixed. My next topic will be something like "how many Thais to fix a light bulb (roof tile)"

Had about a dozen Thais talk about fixing it and then the husband of my Burmese employee, got up in the roof this morning and fixed it in less than half an hour. Very few words but a lot of action. He's taken the day off work to also fix the insulation and ceiling which were water damaged yesterday. This evening will be back to new !

Interesting fodder for the Burmese employee thread!

Good one, usually you can get small repairs done most easily by asking people close by, workers, neighbors, neighbors workers, the local hardware supply shop....
