PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Wednesday a local Reporter facilitated the return of a lost handbag, which contained a purse full of money after he found the bag on Pattaya Second Road.

Khun Isara aged 35 works for a local TV channel and also sends news to Thai Channel 7 in Bangkok. He was driving his motorbike along Pattaya Second Road when he spotted the handbag on the pavement.

Inside he saw items of value and decided to take the bag and its contents to Pattaya Police Station and report the find.

Seconds after he picked-up the bag a Baht Bus pulled up beside him and the driver claimed the bag belonged to his girlfriend and he should hand it over. The reporter told the driver that he would take the bag to the Police Station and his girlfriend could collect it there.

Hold the front page, Someone finds a bag and hands it in...

its good to see there are still some honest people around lets hope the person who lost it manages to get it back.

With ID card inside it's easy to identify the bag's owner.

Can't you two read? It's in the report that the owner got the bag back.

"Seconds after he picked-up the bag a Baht Bus pulled up beside him and the driver claimed the bag belonged to his girlfriend and he should hand it over. The reporter told the driver that he would take the bag to the Police Station and his girlfriend could collect it there."

I wonder if that statement the driver made was true or not

NOT

From the PO article:-

At the station the owner of the bag, Khun Jiraporn aged 34, soon arrived and was re-united with her bag and its contents. She thanked the Reporter and confirmed that she did not know the Baht Bus Driver who appears to have attempted to take the bag off the reporter so he could take its contents for himself.

Hey ,some good news from Pattaya , well except the bus driver who tried to steal the bag, but never mind eh, all's well that ends well.
