Okay so i got a nice offer from a guy his kawasaki zx6r for 58k.

Now that price is indeed very low for this bike his reason is that hes back in the US and no pne wants to buy his bike in the US the bike being registered in thailand and registering it in the US would cost him too much.

He also want to do the sell only via ebay motor.

His writing sounds a bit odd for an American. I dont want to stereotype about internet scam but ah!

Let me know what you guys think.post-235907-0-10827500-1432775608_thumb.post-235907-0-24876900-1432775622_thumb.post-235907-0-62927900-1432775630_thumb.

He's calling it a scooter and you're calling it a zx6r? The bike is in the us and you want to ship it to Thailand? Its crazy. Just buy a bike here within your budget. If you want a nicer one keep saving. This guy says hes an engineer but his english is terrible. Im pretty sure its a scam.

It's a scam, first give away is the sentence where he says " in your country"

Standard scam used all over the world , he does not even know where you are.

Once "something" arrives you would be asked to pay shipping and all the rest.

Once paid you will get a box of bricks

I would play him along for a while and waste his time as they do ours.

Members here could give you a list of stupid questions to ask him.

Just set up a different email address to use.

Ask him to email you a lot of pictures. That will keep him busy for a while.

Maybe share the ad so we can all express interest.

For sure that isn't an American writing, however American bikers will call a big bike a scooter or a "scoot" affectionately. That's true even if it's a Harley. "Nice scoot". "Nice scooter".

Total scam, you can spot them a mile off. Pictures of a bike in the US (sometimes claiming to be taken in Thailand), ridiculously cheap price, some BS about working overseas etc.

I've strung a couple along in the past but probably just better to ignore.

There you go.

Everything sounded okay until this last email. Too bad i was really looking to get this bike for cheap

Everything sounded okay?... You really think someone is going to sell a bike at about half price?....Really??rolleyes.gif

Half price? Bit less than that!! Here's a CBR600RR from the same year currently for sale.

OK, it's overpriced at 485,000 baht, this is more like it at 285,000 baht although it's a year older.

but it goes some way to showing how ridiculously cheap this ZX6R is. Way too cheap to be true.

OK ..That expensive huh......That makes it even more ludicrous that the OP thought it was a good deal...way before the real scam was unfolded....

Dude, you know the color of brown rice.... don't put water in the gas tank... Go for the new bike, start you own history on a bike...even buying an used bike from friend is a strain..coffee1.gif

Well the STONES. can't get no Satisfaction.. or JB.. it's man's world.. good alternatives as well.. Cheers on mate

Just the fact that shipping the bile to the U.S. would cost more than the bike was worth should have been a warning. If you even had a 2% this was legit, your gulible.

Never mind the bike, I can sell you the Sydney harbor bridge, I am willing to let it go cheap too, shipping will be ok, should get to you in a matter of months.....please western union money order only....

There is a scammer active here on TV who says that he is willing to ship all over Thailand. He will trust you and send you the bike after you have transferred the shipping cost to him. Once you receive the bike you can transfer the money of the bike to him if everything is ok.

Another advance payment scam. The guy sounds like an engineer and we all know that owners of a fast big bike call their pride and joy "a scooter". cheesy.gif
