Juvenile held over weapons theft
The Sunday Nation

KHORAT: -- Police yesterday arrested one more juvenile in relation to a weapons theft from a Nakhon Si Thammarat border patrol police post last week, in addition to two teens aged 15 and 16 arrested on Friday.

Eight out of the 10 weapons missing from the arsenal of the 427th Border Patrol Police Company in Thung Song district on May 26 were retrieved.

Provincial police chief Pol Maj-General Kiattipong Khaosam-ang said the group comprised of four persons and had carried out four such weapons thefts. Each time they would steal 2-3 guns and bury them before trying to sell them. Hunt is on for a fourth suspect, whose relatives reportedly were contacting police for his surrender.

Police should be able to retrieve the other two missing guns and arrest the fourth suspect in a couple of days, he added. Police investigation would also check whether the gang had any inside help from any border patrol police officer, he said.

They could also invest in a few padlocks. "Armoury" is not supposed to mean free gun shop.

That's good : as usual, they expect to recover everything and arrest everyone involved sometime in the not-too-distant future.

- End of story -

What were the border Petrol police doing ??? its a serious act of negligence on the part of the border police and they should be answerable and punished as per Military Court of Justice. what if the enemies could get access to these weapon? just imagine???
