Bangkok launches a campaign in observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

BANGKOK, 20 June 2015 (NNT) - Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra today launched a campaign entitled “Together We Save Bangkok from Crimes and Drug, held at the Thai-Japanese Bangkok Youth Centre in observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, on 26 June 2015.

He said that the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has continuously conducted the campaign, with nearly 8,700 volunteers taking part in this year’s activities aimed at raising community surveillance against drugs and crime. He said these volunteers form vital force to push the capital city toward “the City of Safety”.

The voluntary campaign was part of the BMA’s effort to save children and youths from drug abuse with a hope of reducing drug use in each community. At the event, the Bangkok Governor also presented awards to outstanding volunteers, and witnessed the oath-taking ceremony of the volunteers.

Okay -- can you tell us how it has been continuously conducted? You can't even come up with drainage solutions, and you are doing what to make what happen for who and when?
