Sleep Apnea and CPAP machine

Featured Replies

I'm looking for some info.

Are CPAP machines for sleep apnea readily available here, and what is the approximate cost.

I'm in KKC, but info on availability anywhere would be welcome.

Thanks

Terry

The last CPAP equipment i bought was from CPAP.com in Texas, Good , prompt service and 1/3 the cost of the same in Australia . You just ned a or prescription from a sleep specialist who you would be using for diagnosis anyway, I assume they would send to Thailand . The only problem is Resmed equipment you cannot buy if you are outside of the USA but other brands are available such as Fisher & Paykel. .

I recently replaced my F & P machine but not before trying out the new models from Resmed & Philips (previously Respironics). I decided on the new model F & P Icon+ & find it the best out of the 3 brands. I am in Phuket.

so a philips amara mask might cost 7500baht?? my amara has already torn now for the 2nd time, I should have washed it every day in tap water. I'm really suffering without my oxygen and the asv I have isn't that effective.

I would not go with the s9 resmed, I'm on a philips asv, the s9 seemed to malfunction and was blasting air too quickly at a high rate of speed and I couldn't sleep on it

is there anywhere you can buy a really cheap portable oxygen concentrator like Laos, Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam?

I'm in the states right now. If you want to order something online and have it sent to me, i could bring it with me when I come back on Sept 5th. I use a CPAP as well and know the struggle.

Can you use a thai prescription to order from cpap.com? Where would you get a thai prescription?

I think you would need to look at the requirements that are posted on the website - i don't want to give you any false information. I used my GP in Australia and but a sleep specialist would be better and that was sufficient for most brands except Resmed .
