I apologise if my post about Jerusalem was to cryptic for some, its just the way my warped brain thinks.

Three at least crusades to Jersualem, two Gulf Wars in Iraq, screwed up Afghanistan, never mind Libya and Egypt, now they want to get involved in Syria,

when will we learn, just Nuke the place, a bucket of instant sunshine will sort it out.

Lets send for Kissinger, LOL, no goes up the shout from the peanut gallery, send for the pontiff, his holiness saint tony.

Warren had it summed up years ago.

rgs, re the Proms, it was too cryptic for me, I thought you were revealing your true colours as a die hard Tory for a minute. The Middle East is a mess, partly our responsibility with the borders carved out by Churchill post WW1 but also the complicated tribal ties and rivalries are beyond our limited knowledge. imo both Bush and Blair should be in prison in The Hague for the outrageous crime of going to war under false pretences.

One of John Fogerty's finest,

The young die young in a war and their parents are left to grieve for the rest of their lives.

Vera Brittain's Testament of Youth was on the BBC in my youth. so moving, she lost her brother, fiance, friends in WW1 and finally her father committed suicide in the 1930s, unable to come to terms with the loss of his only son. Unbearable pain for .....what? WW2 was necessary but WW1 and the Vietnam war, they died for what?

rant over.

I was reluctant to put this song up as the North were the aggressors

in the American civil war.

If I was alive in that time I would have supported the Confederacy.

But this is a good song.

Good man, there is no point in asking, "if you know your history"?

Be prepared to be knocked down by the PC brigade and history revisionists, always good to meet a fellow traveller.

I hope Neil Young will rememeber a Southern man dont need him around anyhow.

Georgia Peaches, and Southern Gentlemen.

BN, I can assure you I aint no Tory, LOL.

WW2 came about as a direct result of the way the aftermath of WW1 was handled, but never mind.

Always like this by CCR, lyrics spot on.

Fogerty always nails it!!
