A fatal accident now from the front of Soi Kow Noi on the Sukumvit Road. Police and rescue workers were called to the location on Sunday Night to deal with a road accident which left a Swiss National Dead.

Mr. Walter Johnson aged 57 was walking along the side of the road with his girlfriend, Khun Tongban when a coach driven by Khun Noi aged 40 who remained at the scene, ploughed into Mr. Johnson with such force that the front window of the bus was badly damaged. Police spoke with Khun Tongban who mentioned that she and her boyfriend were walking to meet a friend in a local restaurant when the coach approached at speed and ploughed into Mr. Johnson and narrowly missing Khun Tongban.

The coach driver refused to speak with the press and is now in the hands of the Police who are investigating the case further but we understand that the driver will face criminal charges relating to this case.

My condolences to the friends and family of the victim.

The real news is the driver remained at the scene--what gives?

two more likely possibilities...

#2 must have hit his own head on the windshield too

#3 the eight bottles of Leo still hadn't worn off

:o

The man was walking along the road. I assume this to mean the side of the road, but the damage to the bus is in the middle. Interesting. Was the man's gf walking beside him? If so, and he was in the middle of the bus path, then she should have been hit as well, unless she is a lot quicker than he was, and let go of his hand immediately.

Didn't hear a word about it at the AAT plant. :o

Interesting point. It did not just clip him :o

I am curious if it was simply a lack of informaton that lead me to my conclusion.

I have noticed that quite often here, only a small amount of information is provided about so many things, that one draws a conclusion, and then learns all of the other infomration THAT WAS INTENTIONALLY kept hidden.

I would like to find out more about it now.

I will check out Pattaya City News and see what comes up.

NOthing new. I will email them and bring back anything that they forward to me.
