Employment Visa documents

Featured Replies

Hello Friends,

I would like to know,

How much is the minimum salary for foreigner as per Thai law?

Where i can find a employment contract agreement sample for my visa?

Thank you

AFAIK there is no minimum salary prescribed in Thai law for a foreigner and there is no "employment visa"

Contracts are usually the result of debate and agreement between an employer and an employee and are job specific. So I am unsure how a sample employment contract could help in procuring a visa .

It might help if you were to set out your aims and objectives together with what kind of job is being sought.

To get a non-b visa for working at an embassy or consulate there is no minimum salary.

To get a one year extension based upon working for a company for most western countries there is a minimum salary of 50k baht

There is not set minimum. It would be decided by the Department of Labour office that issued your work permit.

Unless you have an extension of stay in which case the following minimums apply based on nationality.

1. Countries in Europe (except Russia) and Australia, Canada, Japan, the United States of America

50,000 baht/month

2. South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong

45,000 baht/month

3. Countries in Asia (except Japan, South Korea, Singapore,

Taiwan. Hong Kong, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam) and South America, countries in Eastern Europe, countries in Central America, Mexico, Russia, and South Africa

35,000 baht/month

4. Countries in Africa (except South Africa), Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam

25,0000 baht/month
