Police say man killed grandson he reported missing
The Nation

A Phetchabun resident allegedly confessed to killing his two-year-old grandson before filing a missing persons complaint to conceal the crime.

He claimed he was angry with his daughter for leaving her four children with him - but failed to pay child support. The boy was continually crying.

Following a Thai social media circle's sharing of information of the boy's disappearance since August 11, rescue workers and police finally found the body in a ditch behind Ban Samphu School in Lom Sak district on Tuesday afternoon.

Police questions later resulted in 61-year-old Sanan Daengdongbang's alleged confession. He said he was taking care of the children while his wife went out, but the boy was crying and he was stressed out over the daughter's action. Police claim Sanan strangled the boy to death and hid the body in a wooded area about 500 metres from home.

He then pretended to help search for the "missing" boy, during which he moved the body to a ditch further into the woods, he told police. Sanan now faces charges of murder, moving a body to conceal the crime and filing a fault report. He was later taken to re-enact the crime among tight security while 1,000 onlookers cursed him.

These girls having babies and dumping them on their grandparents with no support. ,should be ashamed of themselves.

This man is 61 and had 4 kids dumped on him. The pressure must have finally reached a breaking point. Now he will spend his golden years away from his wife and in prison.

Such a shame, the crap arse mother will not have to suffer any consequences.

Rip little baby. though you were a victim. Your grandfather was also a victim.

BANGKOK: -- A Phetchabun resident allegedly confessed to killing his two-year-old grandson before filing a missing-persons report to conceal the crime. He claimed he was angry with his daughter for leaving her four children with him without giving him money to support them.

The boy was continually crying.

Following a Thai social media circle's sharing of information on the boy's disappearance since August 11, rescue workers and police finally found the body in a ditch behind Ban Samphu School in Lom Sak district on Tuesday afternoon.

A police investigation later resulted in 61-year-old Sanan Daengdongbang's alleged confession. He said he was taking care of the children while his wife went out, but the boy would not stop crying and he was stressed out over his daughter's action.

Police claim Sanan strangled the boy to death and hid the body in a wooded area about 500 metres from home.

He then pretended to help search for the "missing" boy, during which he moved the body to a ditch further into the woods, he told police. Sanan now faces charges of murder, moving a body to conceal a crime and filing a false report. He was later taken to re-enact the crime amid tight security while 1,000 onlookers cursed him.

Such a tragic story.

This village has about three thousand households. I asked my gf how many girls and women that have babies leave them with the grandparents to raise. She said about 90% but they give some support to the grandparents.

He had options so don't take pity on a grown man. He took a little boys life. He is a monster not a loving grandparent.

Ah! Thainess. Velly velly good thai people.

Ah! Some ThaiVisa posters velly velly clever, in Western countries no murders no rapes no burglaries, only velly good people. coffee1.gif

In the west, you don't have an entire culture portraying themselves as sweet, kind, loving Buddhist's. Said, differently; the west isn't fake about it.
