On Saturday morning, the ambassadors and spouses went to the Amphawa Chaipattananuruk Project and watched Thai puppet and musical shows there. Then, they watched a demonstration of coconut sugar making and joined in other activities which reflected the local culture and way of life in line with the philosophy of Sufficiency Economy.

The group also visited the King Rama II Memorial Park to see traditional Thai houses. They then visited the Amphawa Cultural Heritage Museum and an exhibition of ancient Thai dessert before they were treated to a luncheon of ancient Thai cuisine.

The ambassadors and spouses began their afternoon with a river cruise to learn about the Thai way of life and various royal projects initiated by His Majesty the King and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. All of them stayed in Samut Songkhram and will continue their trip to other royal projects on Sunday.

The Amphawa trip was aimed at promoting the economy, trade and investment in Samut Songkhram and strengthening ties between Thai officials and the ambassadors.
