Tourist Visa extention at Chaeng Wattana

Featured Replies

What's the earliest date you can go to extend your double entry tourist visa? Is the max time 30 days before the expiry stamp in your passport? Also when filling in the form to extend it, what happens if you put more than "30 days" for the requested time extension? I presume they will just ignore it & still give you 30 days.

Your visa will not be extended. The 60 day entry from the visa will be extended.for 30 days.

You can apply for the extension a couple of weeks early.

If you wrote more than 30 days on the form they might just toss it and tell you complete another one.

Ok thanks. So a couple weeks early means only 2 weeks before the stamp in the passport telling you to leave/extend given at the airport when arriving? It can't be done before 2 weeks?

You have to do the extension or leave the country on or before the admitted until date on your entry stamp.

You could try to do it earlier than 2 weeks if you want to. They probably would do it.
