Between Permanent Residences

Recommended Posts

Posted

At the end of this month (September) I will be leaving my current home and until I find somewhere more permanent ( with a new girlfriend) I will need temporary accommodation.

I am prepared to do my own leg work and research but it occurs to me that certain places will be recommended or condemned by Members of TV with actual experience.

I am alone

Accommodation needed for about 1 to 2 months in or around Chiang Mai

I want bedroom, proper bathroom, sitting area, possibly kitchenette type area. Anything more is a bonus

Furnished

Within bicycle distance (say 3 or 4 kms) of farang-type food shopping

Wi-Fi

Between B5000 to B8000 per month depending on quality

Thank you to anyone offering some good advice. Whoever gives me the best idea that I take up, I will take out for dinner.

why not just hotel it with insider deals on Agoda in blocks of 3-4 days at a time...no "deposits," and more flexibility. Even at 6500 per month...by the time you pay 8 for electric, you will be better off in a hotel for about 300 per night, and get daily maid service........and you can run a/c very cool without incurring high costs.

There are tons of hotels renting out for ~300B/day. I don't see why it should be difficult to get a room for 200B long time. Or just get a student apartment for 2000-3000B.

Golden Residence, directly opposite the Esso station in Nong Hoi just north of the Holiday Inn, short term rentals daily, weekly, monthly with no deposit or longer term.
