Where can I buy foreign newspapers?

Featured Replies

I understand I can read news on the internet, but I still wanna know where can I buy hard copy of imported foreign newspapers (not WSJ, INT) in Bangkok?

Thanks

This might seem weird but Bumrungrud Hospital sells (well, at least they used to) newspapers from all over the world in their lobby obviously because of their clientele. You might want to give them a call.

In the car park of the Vila supermarket in soi 33 there is a shop on the right hand side near the corner that sells news

papers from many countries......

Don't forget to obtain a bank loan before making your purchase.

Personally I would find a nice little pub and while a way an hour or two over a cold beer or a coffee reading at your leisure.

He'll need a lot of luck finding Villa in Soi 33.

I know…I had some moron give me the same directions….wasted 20 minutes….its on the main road of sukhumvit…a few yards down from soi 33 entrance.

Another place that has foreign newspapers is this quaint old bookshop in between soi 15 and robinsons on sukhumvit…..you can spot it by the coffee table books in the display….I wasn't actively looking for it a few weeks back so don't remember seeing it….with luck it might still be there.

On line, but actual newspaper visual from almost any newspaper in the world. I use it to see read the Bangkok Post when I am outside of Thailand, it may not be for you but is surely the most convenient way. Unlike most online news this site, this gives you the actual newspaper pages, with all the art work, photographs, headlines, and side bars found on the print editions

Don't some of the book stores in the malls have several out of country newspapers? The ones in Pattaya do. Not the biggest selection.

Which bookstore/mall? Thanks

It has been a while since i went to Bookazine since they were amalgamated with Asia Books but they used to sell newspapers from around the globe . Not cheap if i remember rightly and i think they downloaded them from the net and then printed them out . Otherwise try Asia Books .

Yes there is not easy to find :)

If you want to get international books, magazines and newspapers you can find them at kinokuniya book store at siam paragon or emporium mall. Other choice is Asia book which is has more branches.

I have checked by myself, and I think villa supermarket itself has more choices, hahaha

Surprisingly, it is not easy to get mainstream papers if you are not subscribers, like Bangkok Post, and especially The Nation. 7-eleven does not sell English papers, and Bangkok Post is available in Asia Books, Kinokuniya etc. I can only find The Nation in Kinokuniya.

Even Thai papers like Thairath, sometimes i can hardly find it in 7-eleven.
