If I was in that boat I'd spend a few days in the Khao San Road area, get an OK room with A/C, fridge, hot water for about 500B a night, and then hit the cheap bars/drinking holes there, pull some backpacker crumpet and if she was fit, I'd stay with her a few nights, and have drinks in bed (a bottle of Vodka and the trimmings from 7/11 or similar) then later in the week I'd hit Sukhumwit and live more like a human on a better budget.....

Stay away from Nana, go shopping in Pratunnam Shopping center its full of lovely Thai women, pick up a girl working in the shop, stay away from Tourist areas and eat good Thai Food in nice Thai restaurants, Be a tourist but a smart Tourist and 3000 baht a day is loads. Have relaxing Thai massages, drink in a local bar and have good times with the Locals, you will be surprised what you end up experiencing by the Kindest of the Thais.

Schedule a few online coffee dates, a cheap but ok hotel, buy a bottle of cheap Thai whiskey and some cokes and beer. If you like a girl you meet from online take her to local park and have picnic in park or a few drinks on street and then back to hotel. There are many markets with cheap food and free parks. Now if you can spring for a little more then a different story.

BTS is cheap, malls are air conditioned and free to enter, afternoon movies at cinema is just over a hundred baht, parks are free, street food with a beer is cheap, meeting a girl you meet online for coffee is cheap, ...... Basically many things are free or cheap. Stay away from farang entertainment places, cowboy, nana etc as you money will go in two nights.

Mind you the online gig is not a bad idea if he has more time , like a month or so or lines them up before getting on the plane

Do you want to see tourist stuff , nightlife , real Thai life or AirCo malls

3000 baht a day goes a long way if you go to Thai places and not tourist traps

Funny ask someone how they would spend a certain amount of money in London and you might get told to see the sights etc. Or New York do this or that, mention Bangkok and its all about whether or not you want cheap or less cheap fanny.

Oh and not forgetting everyone you ask tells you to stay at home because 20,000 Baht isn't enough for a bit of fanny and getting pissed.

Im 28 years old been living in Thailand the past 2 years.. Never experienced Bangkok other then passing through .. I've had my bar fun already. Got a girlfriend and a kid now. So dating sites and cheap 285 in the park is out of the question..Considering looking up if there is any business for beginners seminars around. Need to find myself some new work, got to much time doing nothing (and still getting paid) so some extras income wouldn't hurt. I have decided to have 6-7 days in Bangkok alone to explore the city a bit before heading back to my country for a month.. So any ideas is appreciated, ((anything but)) drinking and dating and bars Thanks
