Location not an issue, but its in Phuket. A Farang parading his maybe 6 yr old half thai daughter around various bars looking for donations and not selling anything (which doesn't matter the girl is around 6)

I am not condoning this at all but desperate people do desperate things especially if they cannot feed their family. Business in Phuket is at probably the lowest ebb I have seen since living here. There are a very few who are doing OK but everyone I talk to says business is really bad & that includes the bank manager at my local branch.

There were times that people had dignify and pride about them, and with good manners, now days, they know no shame,

looks of disdain is like a water of a duck back, now days is all about the money and easy they can get it, and if I have

to parade and prostitute my child to gain that money so it will be...

the guy is probably pulling 100k a night or is just hard up. Either way he deserves a swift kick to the nuts.

Yeah, begging and using your children to elicit pity is a recent invention. Ever read any history? It might give you some perspective. Try reading some of Charles Dicken's novels. Start with Oliver Twist.
