Hello I don't know if anyone can help me. I have a British passport and am currently in Thailand on a single entry 60 day tourist visa and Iam going to extend it by 30 days.

However my visa expires on the 16th November and I don't fly home until the 14th December and because the 16th is a Monday i can't go to the immigration office at the weekend which means I will overstay my visa by 2 maybe 3 days.

Can anyone tell me what my options are? Will I have to pay for a flight home a couple of days early, or do I just pay a fine at the airport but doing that I don't want it to cause trouble if I want to come back to Thailand or get a visa for another country. Or could I then get a further 7 days extension before flying home.

Thank you

You can apply for the 30 day extension a couple of weeks early and you will loose no days. The extension starts from when your current permit to stay ends not from when you apply for it.

The 30 day extension will allow you to stay until the December 15.

You say that your visa expires on Nov 16. The important date is the 'admitted until' date that was stamped in your passport when you first entered Thailand. That is the date that the extension will apply from. If the 'admitted until' date is Nov 16 or after then do exactly what ubonjoe advises and you won't have a problem.
