PHUKET: Two men and one woman were arrested in Patong earlier today (Sept 26) as part of an anti-drug and crime campaign being carried out by Kathu police from September 23-29.

Police first arrested Ms Pimpa Bua-gnam, 24, and Mr Napat Prachoompan, 35, at a rented home in Soi Pethkood in Patong at around 7am. The two had between them a Thai pradit pistol, five rounds of 9mm bullets and one .22 bullet, and two bags of crystal meth (ya ice) weighing .30grams.

Officers then went on to arrest Mr Jurin Penmit, 28, at a house in Soi Phrabaramee when he was found to have in his possession a .38 Colt pistol, 20 rounds of .38 bullets and 12 rounds of 9mm bullets.

All three were taken to Kathu Police Station where they were charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
