Domestic flight with passport copy only, is it possible?

Hi guys, I want to fly from BKK to Chiang Mai and forgot my passport in Chiang Mai (I came to BKK in my friend's car). However I have a black and white physical copy of passport ID page with me, and have the digital file in my phone. I don't have Thai driving license or any other Thai ID. Is it possible to book a fly in this condition? I'm thinking of flying with Bangkok Air, though I'm open to other options too. Thanks.

You can use a Thai driver license, so you have. Paper copy will probably not be accepted.

Mail takes usually not more than a day, EMS. Or send by bus.

Interesting option via bus. My brother left his passport at my home and we had to do this in Bangkok, send by bus. Super nervous, but worked out great!

as far as i understand, u can USE ANY id be it Thailand or another country ID to fly domestic.

as long as it has ur name and photo

The usual proviso is that it is the original government issued photo ID.

As stated, it doesn't matter in which country it was issued.

Wife turned up at Suvarnabuhmi without her ID card a few years ago for a domestic flight with Air Asia..

They accepted a scan I sent that was printed out in the Internet Cafe or apparently I could have fax'ed thier airport office.

That was Air Asia, and quite a while ago..

It will probably depend on a lot on luck of the draw, attitude of staff.

thx all for the replies. Giving nobody has ever said they've been denied, I decided to be stubborn and gave it a try anyways.

Update: the PG staff let me check-in with paper copy of my passport AFTER showing him that I live and work legally in Chiang Mai. If I couldn't present any proof that I live legally in Chiang Mai (being a digital nomad on a tourist visa is not an option here), I think he wouldn't let me check in. Also, I tried with my country's ID card and it was rejected and they only wanted passport. I passed the airport security with paper copy too, no problem at all.
