ICT website under attack from netizens

A message was found posted on the website, www.mict.go.th which reads 404 Page Not Found. Sorry. The page you want to see was erased.

But ICT deputy permanent secretary Somsak Khaosuwan denied that the website was out of order. He admitted that access to the site was slow because there were many users trying to access the page.

He questioned the motive of the netizens who plotted and joined the attack claiming that the ICT has not enforced the single gateway.

..........

Why cant we talk to find a way out? It is better than persuading people to cause damage to the state, said Mr Somsak.

cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif What's there to talk about, Mr. ICT minister, that hack speaks more than millions of words, what the majority of netizen kids are thinking nationwide cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

So if the PM is in favour of the "single gateway" we are not allowed to criticise him for fear of incarceration or "attitude adjustment", but Mr Somsak says:-

"Why cant we talk to find a way out?" Sounds like a bit of a Catch 22 situation to me?

How??

maybe not in Thailand

I wonder if what's really going on here is dissatisfaction with the existing "controls" implemented via the service providers. Their supposed cooperation and compliance aren't measuring up, and this is all a "we'll show you!" to achieve something some considered "required" all along. ...IOW, all the result of the usual inter-agency playground squabbling.

From an elitist perspective: What fun is "Power" if you can't exert it over your fellow man, all of whom you consider to be inferior to you? These are control-freaks.

Agreed, but it sounds like what you're describing is more a "playground rival" than a "control freak". 'Guess it's all a question of maturity level.
