China blasts kill seven in Guangxi

GUANGXI: -- The death toll in a series of explosions has risen to at least seven. Fifty-one people were injured in the blasts from 17 parcel bombs which exploded in 13 places ranging from hospitals and shopping malls to prisons and government buildings, according to reports.

The bombs went off in the small town Liucheng in the southern region of Guangxi which sits on the border with Vietnam.

The official Xinhua news agency said police had determined the blasts were a “criminal” act and that officials had identified the suspect as a 33-year-old local man but the motive for the blasts is not known.

A team of experts from the Ministry of Security has been sent to help with the investigation.

The day before the CCP China national day holiday observing the founding of the People's Republic October 1, 1949. The guy who's now been apprehended and charged is already making Ted Kozinski look small time.

CCP Boyz in Beijing set Guangxi province aside as a tourist center free of concentrated industries and other modern pollutants. So the bomber likely had a purpose and motive that may have been related to causing damage to tourism.

Experts in what? I'd rather be waterboarded in Guantanamo than meet with any expert from the MoS.

RIP to all the innocent people caught up in this mad man's stand for his 'cause'

The video shows collapsed buildings and overturned cars! Those were not small bombs.

Reading the story I thought that it might be a business/mafia kind of dispute, but whoever made those bombs had access to materials and expertise.

Explosives are easy to obtain in China. They are used extensively in mining. The knowledge to put a bomb like that together is a little more difficult, I would think.

Interesting location for this kind of terrorist bombing. I think China needs to come to grips that it, like the rest of the world, is being exposed to Muslim terrorist attacks. I am assuming the perpetrators are Muslim as coordinated bombings are one of their M.O.'s. Notice the resemblance of the government reaction to the Thai reaction to the Erawan bombing - "a criminal act". Nothing to do with politics.

7 dead. Read "much more than 7 dead, but for now we want to downplay the event until we can think this through. The number 7 will do as that is what was in the first few ambulances.".

The town is on lockdown with Public Security Bureau police on every empty street and intersection while 60 more suspicious packages are being isolated cause the few bomb squads are overwhelmed.

The targeted areas exploded by the bombs include a shopping mall, a prison, a county government office, a supermarket, a bus station, a hospital, a staff dormitory of animal husbandry, a vegetable market, and a disease control center.

The guy in custody may have had a beef over medical care which in the CCP is not free. Expensive fee for service medicine and hospital stays are the rule in the CCP China as doctors are underpaid, overworked, lack technology, often telling patients to go mix some herbs.

These are however awfully powerful bombs to have been assembled by one single ordinary guy and coordinated in such a way as this. .

Wonder if China will request help from a team of Thailand's finest police detectives, fresh from their world-famous success with the Erewan bombing case?

Question: What is the difference between you and the former (Thai) police chief Somyot?

Answer: There isn't any.

Both of you know the reasons for detonations of bombs already after reading the "news".

Please, think a little bit more about your (uncontrolled) hatred for China.

Kindly read the entire post and thx for your pov whatever it might be.

With its regimen of flag-raising, anthem-singing, film-watching, textbook-reading, museum-visiting and so on, post-1989 Patriotic Education has offered a full-body workout for China’s growing generations of potential nationalists. “Our schooling taught us that China’s misery was imposed by Western countries,” observed one 23-year-old in 2006. “We were all strongly nationalist…We were bound to become fenqing.”
