Hi All

I have a new Toyota TRD Vigo Champ that i bought from Niyom Panich.

Quite happy with the car and the sale went through okay although when purchasing i was told the first year servicing was free and only needed to pay for parts, ie - oil etc

Well of course TIT, and after the first service the invoice had listed everything including putting air in the tyres etc. I challenged them but just gave up as i knew it was pointless.

Anyway im not real keen to keep letting them screw me on the servicing and was wondering, if like Australia, you can get your car serviced at other reputable service agents and not lose your warranty?

Ive gone over the km service amounts anyway so im guessing it probably has some fine print that ive lost warranty anyway.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Cheers

I bought my Vigo at Nakornping, directly across from Makro on the Hang Dong road. The services have been done by them every 6 months. I like the job they do, there is a lounge with a view of the service area, you can watch the technicians at work. They have rotated the tires, balanced them and checked pressures, removed rear brake drums, lightly sanded drums and shoes to remove glaze and removed the front pads and deglazed them as well, every time. Oil changes, you get the spare oil and they spray a degreaser on the engine to keep it clean, and you get to watch it all. I was told by the service guy that any Toyota dealer can repair or service the truck without affecting the warranty. Not sure about other service companies but all your Toyota services are on the computer, if you ever want to sell just give the potential buyer the number he can look at your entire service history, something to think about.

We bought our new Toytota Hilux Vigo from Toyota Lanna, which is next to Niyom Panich on the Mai Rim road, nearly 2 years ago. We have taken it for servicing every 6 months (ie. three times now) and never paid for the servicing, only for the materials used.

Edit...Sorry I have realised that Toyota Lanna are next to Niyom Saha
