where to buy tamper proof envelopes

Featured Replies

I will be travelling to a place where there are not so many ATMs and so I have to take a reasonable amount of cash with me.I would like to leave a good part of it together with passport in the care of the hotel reception staff but sometimes even that can be a bit risky.

using tamper proof envelopes(as shown in the attached link) might reduce the risk of someone taking money.

Would anyone happen to know where I would be most likely to purchase these?

Thanks

Maybe the post office or one of those B2S, or something like that stationery stores.

now a day. the Thai Post Office, have bought a few here, my supply I came here with from UK in 2003 has run out.

Maybe ask the duty free store at airport where they source them as they use this kind on plastic security envelope at airport to seal alcohol product for carry-on.

thanks for your responses smile.png

actually I found an acceptable solution. DHL were kind enough to give me some plastic pouches used for document delivery which are definitely tamperproof biggrin.png

Tamper proof envelope? Pfft. Waste of time. After part of all your moneys are removed what are you going to do complain to management?

Call the Police for help? If you are going to deposit in the front desk safes I'd say your stuff is OK.

If they want to get into the safe they can do so easily, even the double key models.

Millions of people have been robbed over the years leaving things in hotel "safes"

Police usually cant solve the crime anyway if they can be bothered to come out

Leave it in your bank and take it out of the atm as you need it would be safer than leaving it in a hotel room
