Not much makes sense in that country anymore. The shock jocks have run rampant over the place and Playboy is simply too mild it seems in that environ there with just nudity and they obviously would not do full pornography so, this is a type of sensationalism for them, I guess. Apparently, it's a business move. With circulation in the gutter--why would you buy expensive pictures of nudes when you can get movies of nudes free--perhaps a change of strategy is in order.

Yes, as I suspected it was just reported on the news that the policy change has NOTHING to do with prudishness or PC.

It has to do with falling sales and that young people see the magazine as for older people and irrelevant, as they can all get instant porn online and the idea of print porn, cleansed or not, is very passe.

They NEED younger readers for the AD REVENUE. U.S. culture, the youth rule.

When I was in the Army in Sattahip 72-75, the Playboy magazines came with the Nude pictures cut out - by the Thai Govt we were told, we quit buying them.

but the ones from the Philipines had all the picures intact so the crew members would buy them there for us.
