Hard work and a good saver always looking for better interest rates for his hard earned money, must have put a few hours overtime to amass that fortune, or is it gained via corruption / theft from the bad old days before the soldier junta PM eradicated it out completely.

None of them have to worry about their obscene and possibly suspect wealth becoming public knowledge as the boss made it clear from the outset that NCPO members' finances were off limits. but of course as with every govt there would be a crackdown on corruption.

And Somyot - he had over 365 million when he was appointed. I wonder how much he took with him to the casinos in Poipet?

Somyot had far more than that. According to an SET announcement in July 2014 he acquired a large portion of shares in a property company for 855 million baht. That is public information and can easily be googled. That was just one of a couple of large transactions.

Saying how much someone has does not tell the whole story. The other half of the story is how they obtained their money. So why aren't they being asked to show how they made these large sums of money?

that's more then 100 million US$ and then he is still working cheesy.gifclap2.gif

But how come those guys are so rich? This is extreme.

No, that is just a little over $11 million not 100. Redo the math.

If people take the time to search his bio, he is the director and on the board of many large corporate companies and banks. Not surprising where his wealth came from. Many of these corporate want these folks on their board to influence laws and legislation, and fast track their businesses. So no, he didn't acquire his wealth by illegal means or through government projects if that's what many people are thinking.

What a remarkable co-incidence. The man in charge of the Country's wealth just happens to be the wealthiest member of the government; and at such a young age. I confidently say he must have worked and saved very hard since a child to have achieved that level of wealth.
