Problems - appreciate some advice please

Can I please have some advice on the following 2 items:

- G mail. When I'm composing an e-mail there is a long delay between typing the characters and the characters appearing on my screen. I'm guess something is interfering. Appreciate any advice.

2. When I'm on TV forum. Suddenly everything on the screen (except the top bar) disappears and then after maybe 2 seconds it rebuilds, happening quite regularly. And advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Gmail and ThaiVisa use web 2.0 features that rely heavily on in-browser javascripts. Even if the Internet was temporarily disconnected while the web page was open the javascript running the editor would still function within the browser allowing you to use many editor features.

So as cyberfarang wrote, check your system usage for other tasks running in the background or taxing system resources.

Also, if you are running ANY browser extension try disabling all of them and see if that makes a difference. If so then enable then one at a time so see which if any cause issue.

I'd think that you've unwanted guests in form of virus'(es). Please download this one first: http://support.kaspersky.com/us/viruses/kvrt2015

Make sure that your system is clean, can't be a mistake, right? Then download the free Trial of Kaspersky's Anti-Virus, or Total Security here and make a full system scan:

https://usa.kaspersky.com/downloads/free-home-trials/total-security

To make sure that the problem is solved, please download SpyHunter's Trial here: http://spyhunter.software.informer.com/4.9/

You'll be surprised how much crap on your machine is.

Then go to your browser settings and check extensions.( On the upper right corner) You might have some Chinese guests.

Disable them. Good luck !!

If the OP already has a third party antivirus solution then they definitely should not install the free trial of Kaspersky, at least without uninstalling their current solution first.

Also it would be helpful OP if you could list your system specs here so we have a better idea what you're dealing with.

My apologies, I wrote the post while I fixed three machines and had some odd problems. ( Now I know that I shouldn't drink and try to fix computers......)

The OP can run the virus removal tool ( first link). His Antivirus software could be the problem as well. Some people really believe in "Baidu makes your PC faster" buffalo dung.

Anyway, if you're planning to install a trial of Kaspersky, the program will let you know that there's another program interacting.

The problem these days is that there're too many "free Anti-virus systems and people who don't know much about the thematic at all, come to the conclusion that for example AVG free seems t \o be the best one.

Others tell you that Comodo is the best of all, even if the paid version is only the cloned version of the free one. Some people run two AV programs, not knowing that they interfere with each other and cause whole system crashes.

I don't think that the system specs got anything to do with the OP's problem(s). BTW, is the OP still around?

Yes the OP is still around, but been consumed with a family sickness problem.

Thanks for all the replies.

Just to confuse the whole issue I wrote a number of e-mails earlier this morning with no problems at all.

The problem with Thai Visa also seems to have gone away.

As said before I am not a techie, I understand that I can see all the 'spec' information by using one of the functional keys plus another key to see all the 'spec' info. Please advise me.

My notebook has malwarebytes installed (paid version). Any comments on this tool would be appreciated.

Would it be OK / good / not good etc., to also install the avg software?

It would be fine as long as you don't have another Antivirus installed already, as you should only use one. Windows defender is also installed by default and is usually enough on its own but some prefer to use a third party option such as avg

Thanks, I'm now guessing:

- Malwarebytes focuses on blocking malware, and is not an anti virus application.

Therefore If I install avg, in addition to already installed malwarebytes, there would be no clash. And together they would provide overall comprehensive protection.

Is this correct? Appreciate your comment.

OP, why didn't you even try the programs in my post before? Once your machine's running well and Kaspersky expired, you can always download AVG free and continue.

You're asking for advice, but you didn't even try it?

The first link is a program that detects viruses and removes them. Then download the free and full functioning trial of Kaspersky and make a FULL system scan.

The SpyHunter will do the rest, it is NOT an Anti virus program, it just finds stuff other programs do not detect.

Try it and let us know how fast your PC is. You'll be surprised.

You're right. Malwarebytes is blocking malware and it's not an Anti virus program. Some viruses especially Trojan horses can be deep in your registry and in all sorts of program files.

The free AVG won't detect Trojans and if so it might not have the functionality to delete them completely. Then you're only "chasing the dragon, but you won't be able to get rid off your problems.

The Kaspersky removal tool scans your computer for serious viruses and "prepares" your machine for an installation of an Anti virus program.

That's when you should click on the link and download the 30 day trial version. Just to make sure, clean your machine also with "SpyHunter", it's a pretty good program.

Spy Hunter is Not an Anti virus program and doesn't cause a problem on your machine.

When you follow these steps don't forget to make a back up and keep it on an external drive.

Before you begin, back your system up with Windows back up and you'll be fine.
