Buying wholesale goods in Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

A friend told me that if you want to buy things like clothes, jewlery, personal care products, and handicrafts the wholesale prices are better in BKK. Does any know of any places in Chiang Mai to buy wholesale goods with reasonable prices and a good reputation? An informal survey of a few shops around Tai Pai road indicated that they would sell 'wholesale' if you bought in quantity. I'm not sure if those 'wholesale' prices are good or if the shops can be trusted.

Depends what you want to buy. Handicrafts, furniture, woodworks, maybe cheaper here. People come to CNX to by furniture. Electronics, clothing, etc. will be cheaper in BKK.

Ban Tawai factories offer wholesale prices but ensure you are talking the principal.

Beware of tourist raps like Northern Village at Airport Plaza where certain shops sell Vietnamese made product at huge mark ups.

There's a Factory Outlet complex under construction near Kad Farang which should be a crowd puller... good for KF too!

Have they listed any tenants yet?
