PHUKET: -- A further suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy at the final procession of this year’s Phuket Vegetarian Festival surrendered to police yesterday (Oct 25) and has since been charged with murder and attempted murder.

The charges laid against 22-year-old Pratompong Seaton were announced at a press conference held at Phuket Provincial Police Station earlier today.

It was also announced at the press conference that three people arrested on Saturday (Oct 24) in connection with the murder have now also been charged with murder and attempted murder.

Thanaphon Chusawat, 18; Chinkrit Kerdthong, 18, and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were arrested at a house Moo 4 in Kathu on Saturday and had initially been charged with illegal possession of firearms and carrying weapons in public without a permit.
