Jonathan Fairfield Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Crocodile on the loose in Bangkok village, almost eats soi dogs BANGKOK:-- A woman in Bangkok woke up this morning to find a local soi dog trying to protect her two puppies from a crocodile. Sawang Napawan, 53, who lives in Soi 44 on Seri Thai road, initially thought "Potato", the stray dog she feeds, was barking at a thief, but when she went to investigate, Sawang found out it was a full-grown freaking crocodile. Yes, this is just another case of a wild animal miraculously appearing in the middle of Bangkok and nobody knows where it came from. But in this case it wasn’t something cute and cuddly, it was a crocodile. fritzzz25 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Will make a few nice purses for the local moo baan ladies and a good feast too!
Chang_paarp Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 One answer to the number of soi dogs, a little severe but practical.
derble Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 This could form the basis for a sequel to Crocodile 1 and 2 movies, or how about Ninja Crocodiles, about crocodiles who disguise themselves as wallets, before launching a lethal attack....
godden Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 What size feet does it have, i'm looking for some new shoes.
bheard Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Sounds like the croc went hungry. What a pity! Good opportunity to institute an innovative dog control program.
lomm Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 May I have this crocodile? I like he will eats my neighbors too.
anon467367354 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 two problems I see, feeding stray dogs with puppies no doubt and not letting nature cull the population.
Suradit69 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Saturday mornings seem to bring out the humor impaired. What size feet does it have, i'm looking for some new shoes. You didn't need to clarify your mental condition to us, we were well aware of it.
TSF Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Can I borrow it for a few hours? I'd love to take it with me for my morning walks, I'll make sure it has its fill of soi dogs.
F4UCorsair Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 How does a crocodile 'almost eat a soi dog'? It implies being partly eaten. Perhaps 'soi dogs in danger of being attacked by a crocodile' would have been a better headline, not as attention grabbing though.
Briggsy Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 "It may be a released pet." You don't say! Crocodiles (wild ones) were extirpated from Thailand (except perhaps a waterway in Pang Sida National Park) decades ago. All latest sightings are releases (probably estuarine / Siamese crocodile species-hybrids) including the sightings near Pa Kluay Mai in Khao Yai.
steven100 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Pity it didn't get to eat all the soi dogs in Bangkok, they are pests
GAZZPA Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 The croc simply wanted some puppy to go with his "potato".
Morakot Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 almost eats soi dogs Now there is almost a story in there...
Wombat6 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Sounds like the croc went hungry. What a pity! Good opportunity to institute an innovative dog control program. Probably preferred hunger to eating a Mangy Soi Dog
zzo Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 We need some of those in Chiang Mai, so I could actually walk the sois without being bitten.
Mudcrab Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 That's not a croc....this is a croc Cassius' the croc weighs more than a tonne and measures 5.48 metres.

Briggsy, Since you seem knowledgeable in this area, what about the crocs in Kaeng Kachan Nat Forest? I heard they were wild Siamese. You think releases or .... ?
sgtsabai Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Can I borrow a real croc for my subdivision? Please, please, please. Hell, even one of Texas/Louisiana gators would do just fine, although they only tend to eat people in the water. Dawgs are fair game, yea!
thairay Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 What size feet does it have, i'm looking for some new shoes. you are unlucky, it is not wearing any shoes 555

Yes we can always rely on you to avoid seeing any humour in the situation.
