pasport translation certification (Dutch)

Featured Replies

I am trying to get divorced, the amphur wanted to get the passport translated. We went to Chang Wattana and got it translated there. We went back to the amphur and then they sprung a new fact on me. They wanted a certain stamp, to certify this translation. So we went back to Chang Wattana , and they said they don't do that over there (3rd floor)

So I guess I have to go to the embassy to get that stamp, I am not sure about it as I cant see it on the list of services provided by the Dutch embassy. Does anyone know this for sure ?

Just got new information from embassy, they don't do that so it seems I am send on a wild goose chase by the Thai officialdom.

They likely want the translation certified by the MFA but best clarify exactly what is required before running around.

Can your wife not assist ?

You can get divorced at any amphora in Thailand. Go to another.

I think your right.. quite frustrated about this. I hate getting the runaround.

Amphur in Korat does not require translation of passports for divorce. Just 30 Baht.

Now at the 3rd amphur and they are processing it. Still to early to be 100% sure but it seems it is going well

Done, had we gone to this amphur first it would have been so much easier.
