Crock Pot or Slow Cooker

Featured Replies

I bought both of mine in Big C and have recently seen them in Tesco, usually one off. As stated above Lazada has a big selection. I've ordered many things from them with no problems, usually free delivery nationwide.

All the products on Lazada are listed as slow cookers, which means they are vented rice cookers and the water boils away over time - no good for slow cooking. Real slow cookers do not seem to be available in Thailand.

Had good results with the Otto brand, had it for 5yrs now, used a few times a week. Has, Off, Low, High and Auto settings.

If I could make a suggestion, I'm sorta on the same lines as slipperylobster, but buy a good dutch/french oven. It serves the same function as a slow cooker, but if you buy a good one, they're indestructible and will last you a lifetime.

They are also good for not only for slow cooking, but you can roast in them, bake bread, really versatile, you never regret buying one.

I disagree., they are not vented rice cookers. Both of mine are Hanabishi with removable earthenware inserts and no holes in the lid. They are true slow cookers and the water doesn't boil away, especially on low, since the temp is 82 degrees. Water boils at 100 degrees. The cooker only boils on high. I have cooked beef brisket for over 10 hours, comes out tender and delicious.

I just looked at "slow cookers" on the Lazada site and they have 2 Otto brand clay potted cookers and at least 2 ceramic potted cookers. Also available at HomePro is the Hanabishi brand ( https://www.directtoshop.com/product/1016981 ) also seen here at this shopping site

We have an Otto brand that we got from Tesco a few years ago
